my preffer subject.

hello people :)
I want to talk now about subjects, my favourite subject. I´m in first year, I just have 5 subjects, but I choice one of this because is more interesting for me, mmm... is not a difficult choice really... (I hate chemistry and maths, and, like a vet, I love zoology) I like zoology, well, the name of subject is animal diversity, but is zoology anyway.

I like this subject because is the most "animal subject" what I have until now... the rest is not like "veterinary subjects", not attract my attention... so is more difficult to study... more difficult to have goods grades...
I like this subject because I like know differences and similitudes between animals, understand the huge number of species in the world, I can think "we are not specials, we just are one in 14.000.000 of species in the world", this is one of my reasons for choice this carrer, can protect and help other species, because they deserves the same respect than other human being.
the class is interesting, we can see images of the animals in study, compare them with others what we study before, and in the laboratory we can dissect the animal in study (it´s may sound awful, but is really educational and funny).

in conclusion, I like zoology (animal diversity)
                                      good bye! :)

the person who I admire :)

Now I want to talk about a person who I admire.
His name is José Saramago, hi was a portuguese novelist, and received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998. He was born November 16, 1922 in Azinhaga, Portugal. He died June 18, 2010 in the Canary Islands. Some of his books are:
VIAGEM A PORTUGAL, 1981
HISTORIA DO CERCO DE LISBOA, 1989
CADERNOS DE LANZAROTE, 1998
ENSAIO SOBRE A LUCIDEZ, 2004
A VIAGEM DO ELEFANTE, 2008
LAS INTERMITENCIAS DE LA MUERTE
In his books, articles and essay we can see his mind, his wish of a world with more respect, more fair, with people, but also with animals, environment and all of we can see.
Yes, he was a novelist, not a investigator or a vet, why I admire him? Also his literary talent, I admire him because through his books can “talk” with a million of people, and one of his concerns was the animal abuse, in all forms. He can say of all his readers what is the animal abuse, why is it wrong, how we can help to prevent.
His last work is against of zoos and animal shows in cirques. He defends Susi, a female elephant in the barcelonas´s zoo, who is depressed, and sick.

Quotes of josé:
“I hope died like I lived, respect to myself to respect the others, and whitout losing the idea of the world must be other and no this deadly thing”
“the least of the bad sides of our civilization is the indifference and the greatest is the violence, and now we unavoidably go to the both bad poles”
